CHURCH
GROUPS - CHOIR
All
Saints' Church Choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church
Music. We have a small, but dedicated group of singers who enjoy
praising in a variety of musical styles.
At present the Choir has 7 regular members: 6 Sopranos and 1 Bass.
New choristers, both Senior and Junior members, boys and girls
between the ages of 7 and 13 are always welcome. Rehearsals are
on Fridays every other week.
The choir actively supports special Diocesan events like the Services
of Ordination at St. Mary Abbots, Kensington. The All Saints'
Choir also sings with other church members at United Services
in the Deanery.
The regular Church Choir is augmented for special Festivals and
celebrations, such as the traditional Service of Nine Lessons
and Carols and a Service of Anthems and Readings for Holy Week.
Over the past two years the Augmented Choir has performed “A
Passion for the World” by Kevin Mayhew and “Jerusalem
Joy” by Roger Jones as part of the worship during Holy Week.
Congregational members who enjoy singing S.A.T.B music are encouraged
by the Organist and Choirmistress, Veronica Barnes, to participate
in these special events and attend a short series of rehearsals.
